• This bootcamp-style training session is organized into 5 one-day courses, as described in the Agenda below.
• Participants can register for one or more course days. Each day is priced individually and there is a 10% discount for those who register for all five courses.
• The courses can be completed with or without testing. For those interested in attaining a formal certification, these courses provide the necessary preparation to take the Prometric exams required for the Certified SOA Architect designation.
• The registration fee includes all required materials and text books. All courseware provided is printed in full-color.
• All participants that complete the workshop will receive a Certificate of Completion.
• Those that pass the exams required for the Certified SOA Professional and Certified SOA Architect designations will receive official certificates for these designations and will have access to the benefits associated with these certifications.

Fundamental SOA & Service-Oriented Computing
An overview of key concepts and terminology associated with SOA, service-oriented computing and service-orientation, including a study of strategic benefits and impacts and an overview of modern SOA technologies and innovations.

SOA Technology Concepts
A study of the primary technologies used to build service-oriented solutions, with an emphasis on XML and modern Web-based services technologies.

Day 3 (9 AM - 4 PM / Wednesday, February 22, 2012)
SOA Design & Architecture
An exploration of the service-oriented architectural model and the service-orientation design paradigm, including in-depth coverage of service compositions and runtime service roles.

Advanced SOA Design & Architecture
A comprehensive study of SOA in practice focused on advanced topics associated with the application of SOA design patterns, practices, techniques and service-orientation design principles, plus an exploration of SOA types.

Day 5 (9 AM - 4 PM / Friday, February 24, 2012)
SOA Design & Architecture Lab
A hands-on lab during which participants apply the patterns, models, concepts, techniques, and principles covered in previous courses in order to complete a series of architectural and service design exercises.

•You can choose to register for any one or all of the 5 course days.
• The base price is $699 USD per one-day course and there is a 10% discount when registering for all five course days.
•To secure a seat in this workshop, please send in your registration information as early as possible.

Cancellation Policy: You are entitled to a full refund of the registration fee (minus any transaction fees charged by credit card providers) up until 14 days before the workshop start date. After 14 days you are entitled to a full credit of the registration fee that can be applied to future workshops and/or self-study kits.

By registering for this workshop you are entitled to the following benefits and discounts:
Discounted Price on Prometric Exam Vouchers
The standard cost for Prometric exams is $150-$175. By registering for workshop courses, you will be eligible to purchase vouchers for these exams at a significant discount. The prices will be displayed on the Workshop Registration page. Note that if you are purchasing any self-study kits when registering, you will automatically receive the required exam vouchers, as explained below.
Discounted Price on Self-Study Kits
Self-Study Kits are intended for self-paced study and exam preparation. Each kit contains a Prometric exam voucher, a supplementary self-study guide, audio tutor CDs, flash cards, and additional study aids. There is one self-study kit for each course module.
The standard cost of a Self-Study Kit for one course module is $399. The cost of a Self-Study Kit Certification Bundle (which includes 5 kits) is $1,596. For any courses that you register for as part of this workshop, you are entitled to a 50% discount on the corresponding Self-Study Kits.
For example, if you register for Day 1: Fundamental SOA & Service-Oriented Computing, you can purchase the Self-Study Kit for Exam S90.01: Fundamental SOA & Service-Oriented Computing for $199. If you register for all five days you can purchase a Self-Study Kit Certification Bundle for $796.
Note again that self-study kits include Prometric exam vouchers, which means that you are not required to purchase the exam vouchers separately.
Exams & Certification
•You are not required to complete exams to attend this workshop. Exams only need to be completed by those interested in attaining certification credit.
•All workshop attendees are issued an official "Certificate of Completion" for this workshop.
•Those that pass the exams required for the Certified SOA Professional and Certified SOA Architect designations will receive official certificates for these designations and will have access to the benefits associated with these certifications.
•The workshop instructor will stay after each course day to provide any necessary exam preparation and tutoring assistance.
•The exams required for certification can be taken at any Prometric testing center in the world. See the Exams page for more information.
•Several of the course modules provided by this workshop also apply toward additional certifications, as explained at SOA School Certification Matrix.
